Hello, internet world. My name is Kat, short for Katriana. I am a 22 year-old currently living in Los Angeles (New York in August) and after a year and a half on Instagram, I’ve decided to start a blog! In a new commitment to my health and wellness journey, I thought that maybe getting my thoughts down on virtual paper might help me with my mental health, as well as perhaps being useful to the people who read it.

I guess I should introduce myself a little bit more. Currently, I work by day as a marketing assistant at a boutique nonprofit marketing agency, and by night (or whatever time I can fit it in), I run my health and wellness Instagram, @kittykathealth. I also am an astrologer and professional vocalist on the side. I live with my partner, Paolo, as well as the best cat ever, Belle.

I struggle with bipolar disorder, PTSD, and anxiety, and am constantly on a journey to bettering myself. I’m in the process of trying all kinds of healing modalities and methods, and you can be sure that you’ll be hearing from me about how I feel when I use them. I’m an advocate for radical self-care and self-love, and I’m working to shed the manufactured ideas that diet and wellness media have tried to shove down my throat.

What do I hope to accomplish with this blog? My hope is that someone who is committed to their health journey but haven’t seen themselves completely represented can find some resonance with my posts. That someone lost in the messages of “Going outside will cure your depression!” and “Drink this tea for 3 days straight and you’ll lose 50 pounds!” will realize that they are enough as they are.
